Middle East - Blood

Surprisingly, their myspace is actually one of the entries that pops up when you google “middle east” and “blood”

And the #1 Halloween threat: Sexy Costumes. I have no problem with women wearing sexy costumes on Halloween, but SpoiledRottenDoggys.com has debuted a new line of matching sexy costumes for dogs. Folks, this is terrible, because after a few drinks who knows which of these two you’re going to take home? I mean it starts out like any other hook up: a little heavy petting, plenty of panting, the next morning you roll over and realize you just had a one night stand with a real bitch. And folks you do not know the meaning of walk of shame until you’ve picked up your date’s poop with a plastic bag.

If you're watching Conan right now...

then yes, you’re correct, Gary Shandling is either drunk or high.

madthoughts:

Hey Jim.
You’re finally with Pam. That’s great. I suspect you two kids will have a long and fruitful life together. Good luck.
Now slow the fuck down. This whole being perfect all the time thing? Unsustainable.
You are set high marks for the rest of us. Our ladies have to be around us 24/7. I can be awesome, amazing, sweet, caring, and perfect non-stop.
Sometimes I need to fart. Burp. Sometimes I need to say things to the TV like, “Selma Hayek’s boobs are out-of-control.”
I don’t mind running this marathon we call marriage. You just need to stop sprinting.

Seriously though, this cutesy Pam and Jim thing is fucking annoying. The Office was a lot better when it cared less about the plot and more about the funny. If you want to focus on a character how about Creed, that creepy bastard is hilarious.

Sleigh Bells - Ring Ring

Thanks to Alex from QuietColor.com for telling me about this band this past weekend; I’ve been really digging them. It’s pop, but that’s much too general, and I find it hard to label this kind of music because it’s a lot of things—so I’ll just call it new-pop. If you like them and you’re in NY this weekend—check them out at Quietcolor’s awesome Anti-CMJ show at Market Hotel.

Governor's Race in Virginia

This is very old news, but new to me.

I hadn’t been following this race at all (because it’s VA)—just heard a few things here and there. I knew Bob McDonnell wrote a controversial research paper back in the 80s but never looked into it. So I googled him, and now I’d like to know how the hell this race is even close, or better yet—why has he not already dropped out?

Here’s the Post’s story on it way back in September.

As someone who did his fair share of dumb shit in college I sympathize for people in this kind of situation, but this is too much.
